WINNING SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY BENEFITS
Last year over 3 million individuals in the United States filed applications with the Social Security Administration seeking Social Security Disability and/or Supplemental Security Income benefits. The majority of those cases are denied within three to four months of the initial application. Even if a disabled individual appeals the initial denial, chances are high that they will be denied again at what is called the "reconsideration stage." If the disabled individual does not become discouraged with the process, they can request a hearing, once they have been denied at the initial and reconsideration stages. However, waiting for a hearing can take from one to two years. There are ways to win your Social Security case and I hope with this blog that I can give people who are in this process tips to help them throughout the waiting period. If you have questions, please forward them to me and I will do my best to answer them. My law firm has successfully represented over 11,000 clients seeking Social Security Disability and Supplement Security income benefits. For the past 20 years, I have been representing disabled individuals and I hope the experience that I have can benefit the disabled community.
